When to Use a SIM Location Tracker?
Step 1: File a First Information Report (FIR)
The process begins by registering an FIR at the nearest police station.
The FIR must clearly explain the reason for SIM tracking, such as a crime, robbery, kidnapping, or a missing person case.
Step 2: Request Court Permission
After filing the FIR, a formal request is submitted to the court. The court reviews the case and determines whether SIM tracking is necessary for investigation purposes.
Step 3: Obtain a Court Permission Letter
If the court approves the request, it issues an official written permission letter. This letter authorizes the tracking of a specific SIM number for a defined period.
Step 4: Submit the Court Letter to PTA
The court-issued permission letter is then submitted to the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA). PTA verifies the legal approval and reviews the case details.
Step 5: PTA Issues Authorization to the Mobile Network Operator
After verification, PTA issues a separate authorization letter. This letter allows SIM tracking through the relevant mobile network operator, such as Jazz, Zong, Ufone, or Telenor.
Step 6: Contact the Mobile Network Operator
The authorized letter is presented to the concerned telecom operator’s official office. The operator conducts SIM tracking strictly according to legal and regulatory guidelines.
Step 7: Access SIM Location Data
Once approved, the telecom operator provides live or recorded location data. This information is shared only with authorized law enforcement or investigating authorities.
Conclusion
